    any body know of a good trade supplier a lady is bringing one in tomorrow which she says went pop and is now dead.are there any common problems?

    The lead breaks just as it goes into the straighteners.

    New leads on Ebay. Cheap enough.

    this should prob be know in trade tech but here goes.i got the straighteners in today and there is power down the lead to the small pcb but the light does not come on when you switch it on.i am gonna look more tomorrow as only looked quickly as expected a lead fault. are the pcbs prone to failure or is there any other common failured thermal fuses etc?

    might sound obvious but when you say theres power down the lead did you check continuity for both the live and the neutral, or just used a light noise making thingy electricity tester to find out?

    i used a meter and tested 240 to the pcb.

    1st thing what model and colour is it

    2nd are they fake lots of them around

    have fixed quite a few will help if i can

    its a fake throw it away cant be repaired and if you could is a health and safety risk

    b stands for black yours is pink well fake
