    Hi All

Just to update anybody that was interested in the saga of the 12 American dryers that i tried to repair in a home in Essex. They all had the same fault, the thermal limiter had failed. This is the part they called a thermal fuse on previous models.I managed to get some 90 degree button stats from abroad which i fitted but they lasted about a month. This was no worse than the originals because they started to fail within days of the appliances being installed.Whirlpool at the time had no stock of the part and wanted over £50.Because they failed so soon from new there was no point in replacing them with whirlpool parts. As of now the appliances remain unrepaired, these machines were installed in April this year and i became aware of them in July.
    cheers Dave.

I have got a bulletin somewere about a wiring fault on these machines causing this problem, i will try and dig it out and forward it to you.
The fault was only on these newer machines, they were wired up wrong apparantley in production!
