    Good Afternoon All

I’ve a Hoover WM120M from 2002 which has decided to knacker any or all of its bearings, spindle and/or spider and gone wobbly on me, despite moderate single person usage.
I learn “formal repair” is probably economically unviable so, being a fairly resourceful sparks I’ve sourced the replacement parts and will attempt restoration myself.
I’ve carefully stripped out the machine and now have to part drum from rear case.
Would anyone advise me exactly how to remove the drum pulley.
I need to go gingerly with flimsy alloy up against stainless steel, but with on-line info conflicting between push-on friction fit and threaded screw fit (both c/w Loctite?), I don’t want to assume one and prejudice the other, so I’ve paused for thought.
Advice on this and any other pitfalls etc would be much valued.

    Many Thanks

Lock pulley with hammer handle into tub moulding. Undo nut, remove pulley. Refit nut to protect threads and belt the end of the shaft with a very large hammer.

Subtlety will get you nowhere….. I would advise eye and hand protection.
