If this machine is set to a hot wash cycle (that should fill with hot water only) then no water enters the drum. The drum turns , attempting to wash with no water in.
Hot water is reaching the inlet valve but no voltage is being supplied to open it.
On the other hand if a cooler cycle is selected, the machine fills with cold water as expected.
If the timer is advanced to the rinse part of the cycle then cold water enters, the drum turns slowly as it should, the water is then pumped out but the spin cycle does not start.
Have I got two faults or is one fault causing both problems?
    Can anybody help?

    Thanks, Mick.

Power off and resistance check on the valve solenoid is the place to start. You should get 3.5kOhms approx. If you do, the fault will be the pcb. Double check the wiring, just in case.

    Thanks Penguin.

I had already checked the resistance of the valve’s winding and got a similar reading as you mention. It seems a bit strange with a lack of hot fill and no spin, thought this might be a known stock fault. Looks like it could be the PCB then.

    Cheers.
