I have a Maytag zigzag side by side american fridge freezer.
The freezer side stooped working a couple of days ago, I initially thought that the food was a tiny bit defrosted as the door must have been left slightly open – ‘I was wrong!’ I came downstairs to a puddle of water on the floor this morning from the ice machine as the ice had started to defrost and a full freezer of defrosted food!
The fridge side seemed to be OK.
Went to work, caem home 8 hours later and the now empty freezer is working happily again!
The lower vents at the front were not really fluffed up, I’ve only had the thing 11 months.
It was a graded purchase off eBay, and only came with a 6 month gaurantee. I spoke to consumer advice who said it should still be covered under the sale of goods act, but the suppliers are not having any of it….
Does anyone have any idea what it could be before I look at filling the freezer back up over the coming days.
