Have got a customer hmming and ahhing about whether to go ahead with new drum for this 2 year old m/c. I had removed the old drum before I realised it was a sealed unit! (There are two spring lugs on each side of the drum and I had imagined it might be held together by those. And I was half asleep anyway.) Getting the pulley off the old one (yes, I even got that far) was a bit of a struggle and I fear I might have buckled it just slightly. Hence my question. Come on, own up, who’s actually done one of these?
Incidentally, Connect’s price is £69.55 / SRP 106.64 but I can get it direct from hotpointservice.co.uk for £80 incl. vat retail. Seem to remember getting some small discount from Hotpoint direct a few years ago last time I used them without having to offer much proof that I was trade. Is that still the case?

Well, she’s goin’ ahead. Just ordered it on phone from HPT 08448 225 225.
They just gave me trade price (£64 incl vat and delivery direct to customer on Friday) without any fuss about proving I’m trade. So that compares rather well with Connect’s £69.55 + vat and I ‘d have needed to add another fiver’s worth to get free delivery. Quite frankly, I’m 😯 . Might even end up making a few quid out of this job!Also does anyone know if the pulley comes with it?
