Diplomat 8512 – repair or replace?!

I have the above machine which is making a horrendous grinding noise on the final spin cycle during which it’s not draining fully. The filter is clean. Does anyone have any suggestions to the problem and can give a rough estimate to repair? I don’t know any local repairers so would appreciate some advice so I know I’m not being ripped off.

I’m also wondering whether to replace it instead but can’t find any on-line user manual giving me the dimensions (it’s in our old house we now rent so a pain to get to just to measure up). Does anyone know where to look, or even the dimensions? Would anyone recommend a reasonably priced replacement?
