    Hiya folks,

Just found this site and it looks like just what I need!

I have a Whirlpool HDW1011WG that comes up with a F07 fault code.
It doesn’t happen with every wash, though most, probably 2/3, and normally most of the way through the wash.

I’ve seen other topic queries about this but with no replies for this model, and for other Whirlpool models that have been given as motor brushes or maybe motor pcb faults.

What would apply to this model – anything to try myself? I’m prepared to wield a spanner and a multimeter!

Code is 8570 084 15101, if that helps?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers, Simon.

F07 is a motor error code across all Whirlpool washers.

If it’s intermittent, check security of motor connections at motor and pcb. Check for chaffed wiring. If it’s a carbon brush drive motor, check the brushes for length and free movement.

It’s possible that something is breaking down at the pcb controller, but then it all gets a lot more complicated….. Dry/burnt out joints around the relays is a regular problem on motor boards.

Stay safe, power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Thanks very much for that – did a couple of loads and close watching showed that the error occurred when doing a pretty shaky spin on a partially unbalanced load.
Certainly sounds like a dodgy connection.

    Cheers m’dears.
