    Hi everyone, I’m currently having a problem with my washing machine. When I start a cycle, the motor starts up for a few seconds then the door lock light starts flashing and the machine stops the cycle, but the door is actually locked! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    It’s the result of the self diagnostic on start-up – something is out of circuit. Normally this is the motor – does it run under control or does it ramp into spin? Check pump, heater for resitance and connectivity.

    Stay safe, power off.

    Thanks for that! 😀 Just took the motor out and checked the carbon brushes and they’re worn right down to the line! Gonna order a new pair and see if that fixes it!

    All fixed now! Brushes needed changing, would never have thought to look there! lol Thanks very much penguin45!
