Hello everyone and here’s hopeing you can help.

My dishwasher is knackered. Fills up then stops and makes a quiet but odd noise, like it’s stuck or waiting for something to happen.

I’ve read a bit about switching on and off and pressing the cycle button with the on button together at the same time. When I do this the water does empty which tells me that the pipe isn’t blocked maybe but then fills up again and stops.

I’ve looked for topics on here and found similar but people keep mentioning error symbols which I can’t seem to find.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Possibly just blocked, but unusual with these machines. If the ‘orrible black and grey thing is in the machine, it’s almost certainly knackered. You may may already have the new type pump in there, in which case the start/run capacitor is the culprit.
