ParticipantJust 1 month out of warranty (!) my Indesit WE16 Washer is now displaying fault code F-07 (on Prog 7) but works on other programmes – although it stalls at end with water in drum and rotating. Wash cycle can be completed by moving manually to rinse and spin!
Any suggestions welcome 😯

James, F07 is a heating relay circuit problem, which probably means a failed electronic module 🙁
It may be worth calling an engineer to verify this though. If you need one post you’re postcode here and someone on the site will doubtless be able to assist further with a service call.
Hope that may be of some help.
Dave.

Thanks to Dave for the rapid response.
Postcode is SO51 0JF – being a poor vicar (!) am keen to get machine back working at minimum cost…
New to area so have no knowledge of good local engineers… 🙄January 3, 2004 at 10:45 pm #108305Dave_Conway

No problem James, so anyone in Southampton would like to help 😀
BTW, I am only assuming but the C of E pays less than white goods service engineers then 😆

I suspect that the CofE does pay less well than a white goods service engineers. Pay is £30 per day (although that is every day) – about £2.50 per hour. I would expect to pay a service engineer a lot more than that ❗
Thanks again

Good news Vicar !
You are being paid MORE than a service engineer per hour. Trust me, I am one of your poor and needy flock, masquerading as a service engineer for over 30 years. I work all hours God gives 7 days a week and have to provide shelter (in a stable) and food for my family to boot.
I think I will “take to oath” and do likewise. £30 per day every day, free lodging, loaves, fishes, free wine AND only work Sundays?….where do I sign?
Martin
P.S. Hope you have a sense of humour like me?

Martin – Good to hear from one of the poor and needy flock! I see that Pamber Heath is 34.5 miles from me here in Lockerley (near Salisbury, but in Hampshire) so I guess that travel costs would rule against asking you to fix my washing machine…
Finance problems caused by having 4 daughters still at school! 😆
Humour is no problem – after my 19 years in the Royal Air Force (as an avionics/armament engineer) I learnt that a Vicar’s life would be good. Only work Sundays, as you say, and only one AP (Air Publication=instruction manual=Bible) and no amendments.
Still plenty of vacancies for the job – see your local vicar for more info

Tis true Vicar James,
Whilst I am close, not close enough to help out with your Washing Machine problem. However in spirit perhaps, a worthy Christian virtue allows me to suggest you pay closer attention to the PUMP of your machine.
For it is written in the ‘Washing Machine Bible of Quick Fixes’, that ” lots of odd errors and unexplained faults” may well simply be a coin of the realm stuck in the pump.
May your god go with you my son!

That fault doesn’t exist as far as I know, it probably needs resetting.
I can’t remember the sequence off hand, have a look at the other Indesit threads recently, I’ve posted it lots of times.

No such model as a W16 I’m afraid. Did you buy the machine here in the UK I wonder?

KeymasterRe: Indesit we16 Fault
what does the fault code f05 mean on the we16 washing machine
August 31, 2004 at 11:41 pm #108315Penguin45
ParticipantIf I recall right, F05 is the water level switch holding in the “Full” position – it thinks it’s full of water. This may be a switch fault, or possibly a blockage in the air pressure system.
If you’re not sure of how to check this, look in the Directories section on the left for a local engineer, or put your postcode up here and someone will get back to you.
If you want to have a go yourself, PULL THE PLUG FIRST!

Hiya. Hope you don’t mind me resurrecting this older thread… I was directed here from an ebay review (don’t we end up going down weird and wonderful paths from Google to get the answers we need??)
Anyhow, I too have an Indesit we16 that had fault code f-07 and was initially dismayed at the thought the heater had packed in. But, with a quick peek, my hubbie discovered the princely sum of 26p sitting innocently in the pump.
Now they’v gone, my machine is back to it’s good old self. Thanks very much for this suggestion Martin 😀
And there was me wondering how far I could make the 26p stretch if I needed to get it fixed 😯
Cheers all
