    Whirlpool adg7550, have checked hose, all clear, is there a way that i know its the drain pump before i get a new one, 4 beeps, water left in the bottom before it stops

    If the drain pump runs, you’ll hear it. If it runs and doesn’t empty, there’s a blockage. If it doesn’t run, there may be a foreign body in the pump stopping it, or the pump may have failed.

    Short of finding a nicely carbonised lump of pink and white plastic where the drain pump ought to be, there isn’t a definitve answer.

    ok thanks, is there any other reason why the drain pump wouldnt go, nothing blocking it, doesnt seem to go when it gets to drain process
