    Hi my zanussi dishwasher is not heating the water,but it does complete the wash.I have checked the heater for continuity all ok! Pcb looks ok! could it be the temperature sensor?Thanks

    Hi.

    Heater resistance is usually about 25-30 Ohms. If this is ok then most likely the heater triac on the PCB has failed.

    Also check the heater for insulation too.

    The sensor is possible but not usually something that fails.

    Thanks for the reply! Heater is about 25 ohms will have another look at the pcb what does the heater triac look like and would i have to replace the complete pcb.Also is there any way to test the temperature sensor cheers.

    Hi.

    The triac is on the board & if it is the fault then it means a new board.

    Thanks for the help! I think a PCB board might bit a bit pricey and cant be sure this is the problem.

    Thought i would have another look at the PCB ,pulled it out of its case and noticed a dry solder joint. re soldered and tested all ok now,that will teach me to look closer /take the PCB right out next time!Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
