    Hi Gandh1

Looks like the Hotpoint is discontinued at Hotpoint and none left either so that should ease the decision making process 😉 Even if were still available it would come second in a two horse race!!

    Spec for the Hotpoint DY330GX

    Spec for the StovesStoves 900GDO

    thats what i thought.

but long and short of it is d&g are replacing a customers oven and saying they can only supply the h/p… which i couldnt work out unless its been brought back as a new model??

Or it could be that D&G`s preferred supplier has stock on hand, like one of the big C`s perhaps.

ah that might be it. with regards to new for old replacement i note my customers old cannon was fully programmable but the hotpoint is not – just a digital minute minder. so should they be pushing for the stoves as a replacement under that basis ??

it would be like having a base spec ford focus 1.6 to replace a 2.0 that had air con isnt it?

D & G are quite open to negotiation if you feel that what they are offering is not upto the same spec as your old appliance. When they wrote off my telly I wasn’t happy with the replacement they offered and just a quick phone call changed their offer. After all it gets a bit boring watching an Indesit tumble dryer night after night. Bet the customer who got a 42″ telly in replacement for their tumble dryer didn’t phone up and complain. 😕
