    Hello everybody

This is my 1st post so I’m sorry for the long explaination

My problem is that my washing machine -A BEKO WM510- wont drain..It gets to the part where its supposed to drain and does nothing! 😕

The thing is while I was looking under the machine (with it unplugged from the mains) I noticed that one of the wires on the pump had snapped off,so I thought whoopee I have found the problem and re connected the wire but to no avail :-(.The machine will still not drain.
I have taken off the front panel where the pump is and drained it manually ,so I assume its not the pipe from the washer to the pump.

I was going to buy a new pump but didnt want to until I had got a 2nd/3rd opinion.
Can anybody suggest what they might think the problem is please.

    Many Thanks

    Jay

Re: Help my washing machine wont drain 🙁

Check resistance through pump coil as a starting point – 190 ohms (approx) is good. Check pump motor “pings” round easily – they do wear. If still no joy, measures coil from the other end of the loom – there should be only a marginal increase in resistance. If still no pump action, the pcb may have bought it.

Stay safe, power off if working on the machine yourself.

Cheers for that but ,being a complete – lets take it apart and see whats wrong ,type of guy -I didnt understand what you have put.
I have taken off the pump and it does seem to ping(the rotor inside ping when you move it).
Please could you explain what you mean by ‘measure coil from the other end of the loom’
    Thanks

Test meter set to ohms, check resistance through the pump, should be in the region of 190-220 ohms. If that proves to be OK, following the wiring from the pump back to the pcb at the top and check the reading from that end, just to prove that the loom is intact. If it is, the fault is probably the pcb.
