    Did Ken not post a list of all/most of the possible AW23 error codes somewhere ?

    So casing off job – I did mention that the disc doesn’t open for me before, so a few pointers, please….?

    Motor can be accessed by removing the lower front panel (1 screw each side, bottom front corner) and the motor bolts face you. Think plastic tank BSH with the bolt heads facing the front of the machine. Bolts out, belt off, loom unplugged, pull the motor towards you. Don’t even have to lean the machine back……. surprisingly easy…….:wink:

    You won’t believe this… Took off front cover, replaced wire onto carbon brush. Gave it a nip with the pliers, so it won’t do it again.

    Got one of these this afternoon, hope it is as simple and not a duff motor. 😥

    Took lower panel off and had a peek at the motor. The comm was obviously carbonised. Removed the brushes and found one was perfect and the other one was stuck in the holder and very badly burnt on the end with a few chips missing.

    Cleaned up the comm and fitted a genuine Zanussi carbon brush (identical) and set it to spin.

    It appeared to run up to full speed with virtually no arcing so fingers crossed it was just a duff brush assembly.

    Machine not yet 12 months old and has had very little wear.
