Smeg DWF614SS dishwasher. No:- 0450130373.
I know that F8 = water diverter valve problem. What I don’t know is why F8 still shows after a new diverter has been fitted. Both of the last 2 Smeg DWF614’s I’ve had with this problem have been the same.
Has the water leak from the seal frazzled the PCB? Can that happen?Any help on this appreciated!!

Never had such a problem Steve. assume you have canceled the original programe?

Hi Mark,
I must admit, I’m not completely sure how to cancel the program. On the first machine, I tried holding down the active program button (as Zanussi machines) and pressing 2 buttons in different configurations (as BSH). It seemed to make little difference as when the program ran again, it would fault F8 about 15 minutes in. 😕
What is the correct reset procedure for Smeg?Thanks,

probably not a canceling problem then as it would F8 straight away. If it has a start button then hold it down until you can select a new program. If just a program select button then hold that until 2 lights come on.
Not sure what your problem is other than a board fault as suggested, but never heard of it happening before. assuming the connectors in the plug have not been corroded by the leak and making a bad connection on the microswitch. just a suggestion.
