Do any of you guys know where it could be possible to buy in (in relatively small quantities preferably) A5/A4 sheets of NCR paper in 2 or 3 part??????

The idea being to create a basic template that specifically pertains to our trade. That can incorporate not only your company logo/address/phone no./VAT no. etc but such detail as boxes for Make/Model/Serial no./Reported faults and many other variables necessary to compile a comprehensive ‘one size fits all’ document.
It could even have the UK Whitegoods logo and URL as a watermark throughout the document. 💡

Now, and here’s where I’m coming from here……. (And before you say your company has its own NCR invoice documentation and your local printer reels them out at £x per 1000)…..the one thing your own documents don’t have right now is the latest legislation necessity that is last years BERR ruling 😕

Hiss and tut and ignore it all you like but ATEOTD the need to comply is mandatory therefore to incorporate that in one convenient invoice/repair docket pad would be the way forward I reckon. Printed on the reverse of each invoice the respective ‘Relinquish the right to cancel’ worded form you need in order to obtain your customers address and signature to comply with the rules.*

    * You’d be well advised to visit that thread link for the full SP on the subject matter TBH. The latest news from me on that worth a ganger at least.

So, just in case you’ve lost the plot at this point. The idea is to create a one size fits all type document that ticks everyone’s boxes, that complies with the law AND can be customised to your own style using your own printer.

The only problem I have with that right now is obtaining the necessary NCR paper.:( So if you know of a source of supply we could all muck in with so much the better. Knocking up a template and printing them off is not a problem I’m sure.

Give it some thought at least…Ta! 🙂

    Re: Invoice Pads

I asked a similar question, although not as detailed, a few weeks back.

Its a very good idea, I want something similar to the paper work we use when doing Service Force calls.

The main reason I require it is that I`m one of the few doin safety checks and wanted receipts/invoices with the readings on, plus it looks more professional.

Although I fear our profession lacks the professional touch required by companies to make documents marketable. 😥

Its not for lack of people involved in the Industry, I would defo join a group such as DASA if they backed up there big talk and had such documents available to purchase.

Maybe UKW could start the ball. 😉

    Re: Invoice Pads

I have set up with a local printer a template for Maytag engineers worksheets / Invoices. These can be ordered with your own name and details without any expenseive set up costs. I have just used the same template for my own invoices, supplied in two or three part NCR and a cover which wraps the invoice to use as a spacer or simple pad form. Effectively the form is there and they will add your details and make into anything you require.
These cover ins / eec and ELI tests and socket polarity etc

May not suit all but if you want an off the shelf job sheet / invoice without expensive set up costs let me know.

The printers who have this template is PD Print Hyde Cheshire tele 0161 367 8801 ask for Bev. Quote Maytag engineers worksheets.
If you want to view a copy of the worksheet PM me with your email address.
