Anyone know the reason for a loose fan on one of these, we replaced it some months ago but now it is loose again. There is a groove cut along the motor shaft and a corrosponding groove in the fan indicating some sort of key should be there, but there isnt and nothing else shown on the parts diagram. any ideas?

    Hi eastlmark

is it the rear end fan you refer to? if so it should definitely have a key in the motor shaft, if it’s the front one i can’t recall.

may get you sorted 01422 203963

It is the rear end fan, so there is something missing then? Thanks for the input.

It seems you are missing the Woodruff Key. It is a crescent looking thing that sits in a groove in the shaft.

Typically Crosslee haven’t listed it on their tech info. The only way to get one is phone them at their factory.

The part number for the “straightway key” is 8213 130 31941 in stock at Connect.
