Have heard of it. Cost an arm and a leg I think. Works on dehumidifier principle IIRC. Might need a re-gas? 🙁 Or perhaps it’s ptc on compressor?

I’ve heard Indesit are bringing one out with a compressor in it, that should be fun and games on the quality front.

It’s using a heat pump system. I haven’t seen one in the flesh as yet……. 😕 It works like an aircon unit. Instead of removing the hot air from the cabinet (like a fridge does) and moving it outside, it does the reverse. Most split aircon units today have the option of using them as a heat pump in cold weather. Heat pumps are very efficient and quite cheap to run.
You can enter diagnostics on this machine the same way as the washers. Hold down Start and Sensitive buttons and turn the selector one position to the right. Turn one click to test each component as you would with Zanussi washers. At position 11, the last error code is displayed. This position also cancels the last error code.
This machine also has a demo mode that allows the shop to run the machine without the heater working. The demo is activated by holding down “Start” and the button to its immediate left for 5 seconds or more. Customer may have done that. 😉 To exit demo mode turn the dial to the ‘0’ position.Hope that helps,
Steve.

Check if its drying clothes, You cant take it that theres no heat as the temperature inside is very low compared to a conventional dryer.
The temperature rise is minimal so anyone opening the door to feel for heat will be convinced its not heating.December 8, 2009 at 11:37 pm #305963eastlmark

no less than 3 motors, a pump and a compressor. looks a complex beast.
