    Hi,
I’m trying to get to the bottom of a fault on a 13 month old Hotpoint Washing Machine – model; WMF760G.

Regardless of what cycle or function is selected, it won’t do anything.
Display shows as normal when selecting prog’ or function, but when start is pressed the time display starts to count down, and after a few minutes throws up fault code F-01 when “pump out” or “spin” was selected.
The 4 selector switch lamps and the start lamp also flash rapidly and the water pump starts to run when the fault indication comes on.
The on / off lamp goes out and the only way to turn off the machine is at the socket.

When a wash cycle is selected the time display starts to count down and then after a few minutes the display shows H2O.
The power light stays on in this instance and the machine can be switched off using the power button.

There is water going to the machine, the solenoid valves appear to be ok and there doesn’t appear to be any problem with the pressure switch.

    Any ideas anyone?
    Cheers
    Dave

Many thanks HotDog – I’ll take a look at those.
