I’d appreciate some advice from a Miele engineer on this one. After the old Zanussi machine I’d been nursing along for many years finally gave up completely, my customer invested in the above Miele machine. Unfortunately, she lives at the back of beyond in the Dales and has very low water pressure. This wasn’t a problem for the Zanussi – it just waited until it was full and then got on with the cycle. The new Miele machine throws a wobbly and aborts with a ‘failed to fill in the allotted time’ error.
My only solution to this seems to be to fit a mains booster pump – unless there are any other neat solutions offered.
My question is, if my customer were to pay for a Miele engineer to call, would he (or she!) be able to offer a solution either by reprogramming the board to allow a longer fill time, or by fitting a low-pressure valve to increase the flow rate, which I have to say is really very sluggish and probably wouldn’t fill the machine in time if the supply hose were plugged in directly?
This really is a problem with the supply by the way – all valves and stopcocks are fully open.
With thanks in advance
