    Chris,

Blomberg is often Brandt or Philco (spit) in disguise and other than than it’s Comet only I’m afraid. 😕

Snowcap, you mean you get spares that cost less than a new one! 😉

Wasn’t Snowcap Russian and all recalled? Disastrous insulation (Electrical) problems as I recall.
Early Blombergs were from Ocean and basically Zanussi copies – even some modules were interchangable!
    Regards,

Yeah, the Snowcap fridge/freezer is Russian and must have been missed during the recall.
Its been working happily for a number of years but no longer if I can`t get seals.
    Thanks for your help.
    Chris.

Seem to remember seeing “universal” seals. You basically cut each side to length and joined them with supplied clips. Mind you, That was a long long time ago.

Think you will find universal fridge seal available from H.T. Maddocks,
Also re. Snowcap fridges I remember in the early days you did’nt carry out any regassing or compressor changes, the complete refrigeration system came to you in a sealed crate and you simply exchanged the whole item, used to take about half an hour.
