question from a fellow engineer, replaced element two weeks ago,recalled for same problem,he says element looks like it has heat damage,which suggests no water entering machine,i suggested replace pressure switch,as it may be intermitent in operation and not allowing heater protection, he also says the machine may have been syphoning due to location of waste pipe
not familiar with this machine so anyone had same problem,have i pointed him in the right direction or is there something else causing the problem.thanks DarrenRe: service m6712s

Clearly he didn’t figure that if that were the case the Pressure Switch would go back to normally open and cut the power off!!!
Shite in the Pressure Vessel is the likely cause as PGS suggests. Pressure switch then closed and power to heater just keeps on coming.
