Went to this Dishwasher, fault is machine fills with water and then drains due to overfill float activating the microswitch. I have checked the metering chamber and sump pipe for blockages, all clear. Good resistance on the heating element and circulation pump. Carried out continuity check on the loom from door to base all OK. Have I missed any thing???

If you are sure the red float chamber is spotlessly clear and the transfer tube also? Then it could be there’s crud blocking the circulating pump impellor? If you remove both spray arms will the circulation pump operate like Niagra Falls? If no then there’s crud blocking that impellor OR the impellor has split in two.

Or its the impellor jug. Part no. 424099

This is the part the water flows through before the metering tank.

Just checked the pump off the machine, no crud and the pump works OK with a suppy wired to it. The red float is not stuck I can see it moving up and down activating the overfill micro switch activating the drain pump?

I forgot this m/c had an impellor jug. 😳

That’ll be your problem Taff. 😉
