ParticipantI thought I would take this oppurtunity to note some positive moves forward by ISDAL. It may have escaped some peoples notice in the light of recent events that the moans and groans that ISDAL used to attract have lessened to such a degree they are almost non existent.
Now, I know that Richard Dalley the service manager there reads and at times contributes to these forums, so in my opinion, and please correct me if I am wrong Richard, he has read and listened to what is being said, taken the comments on board and acted accordingly by making changes in a positive way.
I know from doing the work that the repeated faxes, orders not being processed, reports not being dealt with etc. just doesn’t seem to happen anymore, plus, with Richard’s own suggestion of sending orders and reports to Wendy Fallowfield by email, these are dealt with quickly and efficiently. That is my own findings anyway.
To help them in their progress with new software recently I agreed to help them trial it by recieving our calls by email, and so far, all is well on that front. How are you finding it working anyone else who receives you’re calls in this way ?
I hope this goes someway to redress the balance of negativity, we all know from our own customers that the only follow up calls we get are generally moans, and it’s nice sometimes to hear a satisfied customer thank us, so, well done all at ISDAL, and thanks for listening.
All we have to do now is look at some of those rates eh Richard 😉

I feel I must add to the positive comments regards I.S.D.A. Especially since the appointment of Richard Dally.
The advantage of Richard at the helm is the fact he was once one of us. He was a director of Dalley’s Birmingham, having been a Zanussi agent followed by Service Force. I agree that the praises should be spread among the operation as whole. Technical support is good, accounts spot on and the support regards the vagaries of the business always there.
I’m glad I’ve stuck with them.

well done Indi looks like a bit of constuctive criticism appears to have done the trick ! It is nice to see that some networks can
react positively to a bit of stick without running off to thier solicitors office.

ParticipantI must also sing ISDAL ‘s praises . Always there to help you and they also support the engineer when they are right. There is no guilty until proved innocent with them.
Mind you its a company based in Yorkshire, need I say more.
Richard all we need are higher rates and an increase in work

You lot scare the sh1t out of me!
I am very grateful for the things you have said as we do try, where we can, to improve things and I do take note of the things that irritate you. It is not always possible to change things as fast as I would like and some manufacturers are very difficulty to negotiate with but we keep plugging away.
If some of you could see the amount of effort and hard work put in by Wendy and the girls in the call centre, (You would never get me doing that job. I would be telling the customers where to get off within 10 minutes), you would be amazed that they find time to help with orders, queries and all the other things the agents phone about. They are the strength of ISDAL along with the guys at the sharp end – namely you the service engineers. I had better get off this subject before you call me a sycophant and start throwing up.
I started this reply with “You lot scare the sh1t out me!”
REMEMBER PRIDE COMES BEFORE A FALL. 😕 😕
I’m looking over my shoulder already.

LOL GOOD ONE RICHARD,
Your trade cred is good, as we know you’ve done the job from both ends,
not like some of the bean counters and graduates who would’nt know how to put a plug top on, who try to tell us how to do our job.
Plus your one of the few network guy’s with enough bottle to come on this site in the first place. Respect ! 😉Regards as ever Del

Hi Machineman,
Why not hit the p.m. button at the bottom of Richards post, that way you can send him a personal message and ask him directly. Just a thought.

Hey, I know I’m ugly but I didn’t think I was up up for a part in Alien just yet! 😉
No Richard it really is good to see positive stuff coming from all this and it’s part of the reward for the work put into to it by everyone and, let’s face it, most of the niggles and irritations are easily resolved with a little effort.
And, it’s a good start.
All good stuff I think, long may it continue.

Richard has earned himself a few more brownie points with his handling of Maytag work. I agree with Rudi we should all be as quick to praise as we are to criticize. It’s nice to see that some people dont have a dog in the manger attitude regarding the loss of a contract. 😀

For those who don’t get this, take a look in the Electrue/Nesn section in the rumour mill. Page 16 I think, there is a posting of mine which will expalin the above in a small way.
Says a lot that there needs to be 16 pages so far regards NESN & they still don’t get the message. Inransigent or stupid? We may never find out.
