I had a call to the above machine as it was not drying and shrinking clothes, suspect water too hot.
The dryer fan motor doesn’t start intermittently and has caused the overheat stat to go O/C.
The fill problem has really got me puzzled though.
When placed on a 30deg wash it fills hot only and sometimes the cold comes on for about 4 seconds at the end of the fill.
Occasionally it fills hot and cold as would be expected.When the cold fails to operate I have checked for power in case the solenoid is intermittent and I am not getting a supply which eliminates the valve.
The cold valves work without any problem on all rinses which theoretically eliminates the wiring loom and valves.
The machine checks out OK for earth faults.
Does this machine monitor the temperate of the water as the tub fills? I can’t think what else can be causing this!

Not that I’m aware no! The only temp sensor is in fact the heater NTC so possibly (maybe?) that is faulty?
Those 4way valves are prone to playing games though and the “no power” to them may be because the module isn’t getting a full circuit return from one of them maybe? I would at least stick in a new 4 way valve and see what occurs, but then I carry them on my van. I should hate you to shell out the cost on one and find my theory is wrong but if you too have a valve then at least try it?
Meter out the NTC too don’t forget, it may just be faulty being as the dryer has been cooking for a while that excess heat may have taken its toll on it.
