    Good morning,

We are having a problem with our grill.

It lights but doesn’t catch. By this I mean the flame lights meanders occasionally flicking through the gap in the door and onto the knobs above the grill. It doesn’t go out but the ‘lighter’ does a lot of clicking and the fascia gets very hot.

When this happens the whole oven/grill shuts off, I presume as a safety measure.

I have searched in/out of the oven grill and cannot find any number / model id apart from Diplomat Softline – apologies.

We called out a plumber (gas expert) and he is at a loss too – so can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

    Hi

You will need a GasSafe registered engineer to carry out a repair. You could try the “find an engineer” link in your post. This link explains why we are unable to assist on gas repairs.

    Hi Don,

Thanks for the reply – I guessed that this may happen but was trying to find out if this is repairable or the beginning of the end for the grill !

It’s been fine for four years until now !

Just a minute….. are you grilling with the door closed ?

    If so stop it.
