ParticipantHad Sunday off this week. Built 4 Bosch washers, 2 dishwashers, scrapped 3 piles of junk, skipped out the van, managed to take the kids to McDonalds (eat the packaging – the calorific value is higher AND it doesn’t contain fat), did the stock order on the net now that the server’s finally decided to work; cleared out that pile of old motors that we all have lurking somewhere and still managed to spend a whole half hour in the pub.
I’m going back to work on Monday to have a rest…….
Relax,
Penguin.
AND I only did 63 hours Monday to Saturday…..January 26, 2004 at 5:32 pm #108867Alex

ok, not related to the start of this thread, but a bad weekend.
1) Saturday recieve letter from customers solicitor demanding £300 for damaged floor (the machine was already pulled out when we arrived and left out when we left so i smell a set up here)
2) gales last night took 2 ridge tiles of my roof.
3) some B****** stole the spare wheel from my Citroen car, and the tool kit that apparrantly lives inside it! When, I dont know as I only noticed it today. (the police say there has been a spate of these recently in the area, no doubt they now have a full set to sell.)
4) Leyton Orient and spurs both lost!February 2, 2004 at 12:45 am #108871Penguin45
ParticipantGood grief,
We’ve let Arsenal supporters on the site? Come on you mighty Cockerels…… I know I live in Leeds, but I was born 400 yds from White Hart Lane so settling for mid table mediocrity has become something of a ritual. Sorry to hear about you tools Eastlmark; it’s a real booger. Trouble is, you don’t realise what was in the box until you come to replace it.
We have an area up here called Gipton; if you work up there, you lock the back doors of the van, but leave the drivers door open – if they want the radio, they can have it – it’s still cheaper than replacing the glass or the locks.
Oh God, I’m getting cynical in my old age.

It wasnt like my tools, more the jack and whatever else was in the citroen toolkit. I never seen it so I dont know what was in it. I found a sad citroen owners forum and it seem that everyone in the whole country with a Citroen has had their spare wheel stolen. So, if you have a citroen, go take a look underneath….its probably not there! Question is where are all these wheels?

ParticipantCitroens takes me back maybe 20 years – I had a GS Club estate in my executive days – come MOT time, they told me the boot floor wasn’t there any more………. It was a bit of a swine anyway; you couldn’t just jump into it and drive off when you were late for work, you had to sit and wait for it to inflate. Anyway, had a chap come round round and write it off for me – bit annoyed, hadn’t invited him.
