ParticipantGot one of these and sounds like coupling/connector for MO stat. Customer says can’t turn up/down or off. Not done one before but looks like it is just the coupling 420601 or do I need to take the knob 421443 as well??
Ta
Thanks in advance

I’ve not done one either or can figure from what any customer tells me on the phone, most times anyway, what the problem actually turns out to be?
But, having said that, the 2 parts you mentioned are less than a tenner for the pair so if you can stand the loss if you are wrong…go for it? 😕

Thanks Martin, thought that way myself but my main supplier MP only have the coupling. Could get that with the rest of my order from today. The other part is POA (which normally means a silly price and wait)
I might just have to bite the bullet and order both parts from BSH but their delivery is always a bit hit and miss – anywhere between 1-10 working days I’ve found.
I might just go out and scavenge the parts from the top oven to get the MO working for Chrimbo.

The benefit of ordering from BSH is that at the time of order you know the part/s is/are in stock because their site is linked direct to their stock holding database and therefore it displays “In stock today” in the status field. 😉
Whilst that’s not as a general rule a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} guarantee, items such as the ones we are talking about here, then they aren’t going to be flying off the shelves demand wise and you should be OK on the supply of them.
As to the 1-10 working days? Well in my experience out here in the forests of north Hampshire I find that on average BSH deliver an order I’ve placed with them in 3 days. ( assuming on day 1 I order b/4 2 pm that is) After 2 pm then stick another 24hrs onto it. 🙂
HTH?

Glad about that, got the coupling coming tomorrow so could close this one as back that way pm. 😀 😀

Martin, noted your point about ordering before 2pm and will see how I get on.
Thanks folks :salute:

Spot on, easy peasy Japenese squeezy job. Would kill for jobs like that. Mind you it was 6pm when I got to it tonight so good job it was easy.
Newish estate, I’ll stock up on a few as spares ‘cus hopefully there will be an epidemic of them soon. Mind you, I think they’re all going to fall down before long, this one had a 1″ gap between work unit and the wall. The guy said, “don’t worry, there’s a 3” crack in his bedroom wall and he can see the insulation. 😯 😯 😯
Thanks again

ParticipantMost of the time , it’s caused because the customer either turns the selector switch the wrong way ie Anti-clockwise from the off position OR they turn it off with too much gusto which again sends it anti-clockwise past the 12 o’clock position.
