    Hi Folks

Have been struggling to sort dishwasher
Was lights 4+5 on permanently, posted previously

Sent PCB to QER no fault found, but some components replaced
They said try, and try door lock or float switch

Managed to reset machine when PCB refitted, and select rinse program
but would not finish and base was left full of water.
    Emptied and retried, same again.

When taking unit out, the outlet connection to drain was partially blocked, cleaned and restarted, same, base remains flooded

Stripped side panels, and WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IMAGE LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER BLOCKAGE ?

Right hand side, sand coloured contents, IS THIS NORMAL, part of
    salt unit i think

    Help please

Nope, water softener re-generation unit. Do not mess with under any circumstances……….

Are you basically saying that the machine cycles but doen’t drain? If the sink coupling was choked, there may be a blockage in the rest of the drain hose; the drain pump itself maybe blocked or failed.

    Thanks for your reply

    Will check tonight

Can you describe where the float switch is, QER mentioned that may be worth looking at also

    Update
    Drain pump and hose refitted

When switched on, light 4 on and 5 is flashing E8 Error alternate valve issue
E6 error previuosly now removed following manual draining of machine base

Question, is the alternating valve the solenoid with small bore rubber hose going to and from it ?
    Can it be tested ?

    Thinking of scrapping it now
