    main oven was failing to ignite(faulty door switch)replaced and all was fine,customer now has constant ignition when oven ignited,said it has been this way for some time but if he presses the clock button then it will stop,any thoughts appreciated 💡 ❓ 8)

    Hi

    The most common reason for this to happen is that the tip of the electrode is not in the flame to allow it to earth. It can be either that the electrode requires a bit of adjustment or that this part of the burner is blocked so there is no flame. This fault many occurs when the flame dies down so remember to check it when the flame is at its lowest.

    geoff1 thanks for your response,this happens from initial start up,so maybe just an adjustment of the spark gap as when ignited it is on full gas rate. 8) thanks
