ParticipantHi
Merry Chrimbo to all!
I have an Indesit IWDE 7145 Washer Dryer.
Now when I get things I like to know how to do it before I need to etc.
How does the one turn the pre-wash on this machine? Is it automatic on some programmes? Does it check for soap in the dispenser? Does it read my mind? (Not that difficult)
I have even read the instuctions 🙂 and I cannot find it anywhere.
Also Happy New Year to all,

Participanthaving looked at the manual, it doesnt mention it at all
however, if u need to use the prewash, u would need to use the heavy soiled program, i.e cottons heavy soil
then itll do a prewash 1st

Hi
It is a closely kept secret, maybe Indesit should get an award for the best instruction book having been passed by MI 5. :rolls:
I will have a few dummy runs and report back later to-day. It is exciting to own an Indesit, full of surprises, it’s what Christmas is all about.

Well there is a lot of ironing when it has finished putting in all the creases if that is what you mean. 😆

I wouldn’t call it exciting but you should be prepared for many surprises. :rolls:

Hi
After many trials in the lab (kitchen), now it’s stopped drying my not so small smalls, we have come to this conclusion.
There is a button called “Intensive Wash” which the manual says just uses more water etc, no mention of pre-wash.
Well if we take the four main washes at 90, 60, 40 and 50 degrees and they are numbered 1 2 3 and 4 (clever eh) If you press this button then water goes into the prewash dispenser on numbers 1 3 and 4. So I presume it would continue to a pre-wash on these settings if we let it. It does NO pre-washes unless this button is pressed, even at 90.
So it does pre-washes at 90, 40 and 50 degrees not 60. I suppose since 90 and 60 are for cotton then you would use 90 if they were really mucky.
I know I could have done this without the forum but I thought some one would have the details.
Still if people have one of these machines they may find out be searching on this forum and answer their question.
Should I tell Indesit my findings or do you think they know?
PS I am amused to see I am New Member after being a member for three and half years, just not many posts. I don’t post often because I don’t like to waste time or computer space. Have you had fun in the snow? Have you been gritted?………………………………..There is a man at the door, think they are after me, time I was back in the care home…….Bye all
