    During rinse the pump comes on drains water fine but the machine goes into a spin cycle just a tad early for my liking, the sump and pump are clear, water then gushes out of the soap drawer.Is there a non return flap missing or something?

    Based on Hotpoint WMA. Could be a partial blockage in the sump area around or in the pressure chamber side.

    Pump flap valves did used to stick on these, if drains into a standpipe then remove the pump flap valve.
