ParticipantNot sure whether ISE admin e-mails are being opened so thought I would post here for a speedier response.
Require front tub, tub gasket, front concrete weight, screws, spacers, collars and heater.
The front concrete weight has broken up and the screws have sheared in tub.

I said I would call customer this evening to tell her if spares are stocked at ISE, sorry to put on you.
Thanks.

I had a similar problem, Thin bolts
I managed to remove the sheared bolts by sawing around the end of the weight mountings with a small hacksaw. I took off a few millimetres and was then able to get hold of the end of the snapped bolt with mole grips and unscrew it.
These bolts are some of the thinnest I have ever seen holding weights on. 😥

I will let her know, thanks.
Have you had any others with front weight issues?
Those screws are the thinnest I’ve ever seen for holding the weights.

Those screws
Perhaps I was being generous in calling them bolts, screws is much more like it.

I had to “borrow” a front tub off a machine to get a customer going before Xmas and while you are right that the screws are the thinnest, they also were not very tight. I was able to undo them with a socket screwdriver and found it not much harder than taking lid screws off a normal machine.
I wonder if this is the case on them all. I will be checking new machines before I sell them.December 29, 2009 at 8:00 pm #307331timdowning

On a side issue does the front come right off on these machines. I assume it does as when I had the front lower panel off I could see two screws facing me.
If it does come off I also assume I can change the front tub in situ?

Yes Tim , front comes right off and tub front is an easy replacement with drum in situ.
Remove control panel and 2 more screws in behind that.

Had the same problem a few months a go. On ballance from what I see the AW23 seems to have a low failure rate.

Aaghhh.
I have got three of these with the weights ripped off in the past two days. 😥One with both weights off, door seal ripped and the studs broken off the front of the drum. :rolls:

Just check that it also has not damage the pressure stat pipe?
I had one that the weight completely drop and had been rubbing against it.
I only noticed it because as i was going to rob it for another job.

Got exactly the same, will be phoning tomorrow.
Must admit those bolts are extremly thin…

On one of the ones I have just now the bolts ( thin screws ) haven’t snapped. Its just the top of the left hand weight that has broken off allowing it to drop to the side.
