Customer had blockage in the filter but had not read user manual. After scooping water out of drum with a cup he put machine on right hand side to investigate. Then on left hand side. Then upside down before he found the filter. He cleaned filter, put machine upright and found that it was now completely dead. He then called us in.
I expected to find a simple fault, something like wire connection pulled off. Not so simple. The machine is completely dead but power is getting to the power board. When the selector knob is turned nothing happens, no lights, nothing. The insulation reading is perfect.
I suspected water had come from the dispencer onto the electronics, and removed the boards to inspect. Everything looks ok, nothing blown and no traces of water.
I still suspect electonic board/s have failed, just wonder if there is anything else which could cause the machine to indicate this fault.
Many thanks for any suggestions, and a Happy New Year to all.
