    Occasionally my Whirlpool ADG7540 leaves grease on cutlery and plates so I end up hand washing the offending articles. 🙁

    The salt level and rinse aid are OK. I have opened the door during a wash and found that the water is cold. There is no associated error code. What is this due to ?

    This happens in about 5/10 washes.

    Connection burning out at heater is a possibilty, dry joint on pcb is possible but unusual on these.

    Power off if you intend to resolve this yourself.

    Is the heater easily accessible to check the connections?

    I followed your instructions last year and repaired a different fault. I don’t feel like giving up on this machine yet?

    Base panel off for access, so it’ll have to come out.

    Thank you. I’ll have a go.

    Just getting it out from between the cabinets and returning it to its original position afterwards is the worst part. The housing is razor sharp.

    If we decided to replace it, would the existing door panel fit any fully integrated model ? and is it easy to remove?

    Door would be transferable using the fittings supplied with a new appliance.

    Yours will come off if you slacken screws 2 + 4 by two turns down each side of the door – mind your toes….
