I have a two year old BAN12NF Indesit fridge freezer which has a problem. When I plug it in it starts up OK but after a few minutes there is a repetitive clicking behind the top control panel. This continues for a few minutes and then stops and the fridge seems to be dead, not even the light comes on. I can pull the plug out and start the cycle over again. I have been told that the control card needs to be adjusted behind the panel ?? can anyone help please I need a refrigerator ASAP.

This is probably too late to help you but we’ve had a similar problem. The first time it happened we got the unit repaired under warranty. Now it’s happened again about a year later and I’m trying to order a replacement control panel that is easy to fit in the top of the unit. I think this is the same part the engineer replaced before. For us during / after the noise the fridge and freezer still seem operational. I would post a link to the part I’ve ordered but the web site http://www.spares2go no longer seems to be listing it 🙁

    Hi

If you are still after one an email enquiry to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should get the ball rolling.

I just replaced the relay on the card but it did not fix the problem, if anyone can suggest what else may be wrong on the card please leave a response, this seems to be a problem on this machine and Hotpoint so someone probabaly knows what is causing the fault. I will be obliged to scrap this fridge if I can’t find a solution, which is a real shame.
