Hi again, i fitted a new soap dispenser to my machine last summer and it has been working fine since.
The problem now is that the dishwasher stops in mid cycle with no error codes. we tend to use P4 programme most of the time. Just looked in and the dispenser was open with hot water in the bottom. I switched it on and off a few times and now it is working.
A couple of weeks ago the display started showing as though the LCD was damaged with lots of symbols at the same time.(a bit like when you press on a LCD hard)
The main on/off switch felt stiff at one point and also i had a cracking type noise closing the door once lately.
Would the main switch or door catch cause this or is it more likely a PCB fault?
Thanks.
Re: Smeg stx1 stopping mid-cycle, no error showing
If you thought corruption issues were ripe in South America, SMEG makes them look like amateurs…. Pretty sure I refered you to THIS ARTICLE last time – same precepts apply. Suppressor, dispenser (Yes, I know) are always the principle culprits, or the pcb itself.
Re: Smeg stx1 stopping mid-cycle, no error showing
Thanks for that.i readthe article last time and it makes sense. are you saying thought, that it could still be the dispenser causing fault too? ( i come across this quite often in my job fixing boilers. All makes have their odd faults i have found.)
