    Evening,
Went to this dw, Full of water reported not draining. The drain pump was full of glass. Writing the bill out (always a bad idea) and it comes uo AL05. I have mis-read this for F05 on site and thought the machine still had a drain error.

AL05 is shown as a wash motor fault, but how is this measured?
I have searched AL05 on this site and one past post talks of a temp sensor fault. Was this just a mistake in looking up the code?

    Thanks for any help.
    Graeme

Did you lay the machine down on the right hand side from the front to get access to the pump, if you did water can run up the pressure hose causing an air lock this can cause this fault, take the hose and blow through it, that may cure it JJ

Thanks, no i always take the side off as i have had problems with the o ring leaking so i remove the 3 pump screws. Checked the p/s by blowing down ok.

Went back to look at the motor, measured fine, not stuck, changed the cap, still coming up AL05. Ordered pcb but not sure.

Been a good week for Merloni , have a HP FDW85 coming up A01 but no water in the base, read the turbid sensor can cause this, we will be randomly hanging parts of these machines if the fault codes are meaningless.

And a new type Indy DIF04UK fitted a heating element (fits on the motor) as it was o/c but found the base pcb blown to shreds beyond repair.

Anyone shed any light i will be grateful.

    Cheers Graeme
