ParticipantHotpoint WMD960P washer. Serial no:- 809180021 54728.
This quality appliance is just over a year old and vibrates like a kango hammer on spin. The body vibrates so badly it adjusts it’s own feet and moves sideways across the floor.
Checked everything and found that the suspension units were very stiff: it was almost impossible to press the tub assembly down on its suspension as if there was something in the bottom of the machine stopping it moving down. No obstructions, but one spin cycle and the suspension units were rather warm to touch. So a squirt of silicon lube each side and it was much better. Tried a second rinse / spin cycle with the same load and halfway through the spin the vibration returned.IIRC, I read a post in the last few days that the Aqualtis machines had vibration and noise issues; are there any known problems (and their appropriate fixes!) for this machine please? Anyone had these issues? The machine seems too new to have these problems….. :rolls:
Thanks,
Steve.

So there’s no suspension issues with these, then? Is the suspension so tight that it is difficult to push the drum down? It seems very tight to me, almost as if the transit bolts are still in. (but they’re not of course).
Any ideas please!!
Steve.
