Hi Bosch dishwasher going through cycle ok but not heating water did have error 1 on display.

Tested NTC and found the live part to be open circuit – replaced NTC and now have 240 volts at the live terminal of the element – reads 0 volt on the other – assuming this goes to earth.

Element reads 11mohms !!! is this open circuit and am I getting reading back through water in sump ? What should a good element read in ohms ?

    Thanks for any advice.

    25-30 ohms would be normal.

Bit of a difference there then !!! so do you think new element is required also ?

Look like a pain to replace !!

Yup, heater knackered. You’ll need p/no 496153 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to get you one promptly if you wish.

“Bit of a pain to replace” is a huge understatement. The cavity has to be removed from the plastic base, this involves taking the door off as well….. I’ve got it down to a bit over an hour now; as it’s your first go, I’d reserve Sunday afternoon.
