    Condensor dryer, model 797C.

It seems to have exactly the same fault as the Hotpoint/Indesit condensor dryers.

Back panel full of water being sprayed all over element. 😥

Is this common on these as well, it is not possible to get your arm into the back of the condensor chamber to feel for any gunge as it is narrow compared to most dryers.

I had one similar. Took it apart found no apparent fault. Put it all back together and left it working but advising cust that it would probably need new pump if recurring and that that would cost. Not heard from them again. Which is a great relief given the right PITA that dismantling and reassembling that thing was. Next time somebody calls me about one of those, I’m not gonna be available 😉 .

Yep, if fluff gets into the base where the pump is it can block up, pump runs but it doesnt go up to the bottle, so it overfills and water spills into the fan then gets thrown onto the element, CLEVER OR WHAT!! It is a pain, drum out etc, OR dry element with a hairdrier, then run to see if the pump does pump upto the bottle ( I allways pour a little water down the hose to fill the pump resivior). If the pump runs but doesnt pump up, blow down the hose and try again.

    😀

Having many years of this exact fault on Hotpoint/Creda/Indesit dryers I did give it the hairdryer treatment and blew down the hose.

TBH the condensor wasn’t that badly clogged, not the usual mess you get in the Hotpoint ones.

She said that it was pumping up into the container so I left it working OK, until the next time. :rolls:
