last week my ariston washer dryer, the heater element went on the dryer, and it seems as if the same day the zanussi dishwasher stopped heating the water, now this may seem a retarded question, but would the cold weather we’ve been having have any effect on this, what with the mains water temp being a few degrees lower, or is it just one of those freaky coincidences, i will be ordering the dryer element from here, and i know it’s not in the dishwasher topic, but is it probably going to be a new pcb, are there any easy ways to find out if it is.
    Thanks adamano

The only way to tell is by visual examination of the PCB itself. You can normally see signs of failed or burnt out spot welded on the heater relay connections.

A check on the element with a meggar or multimeter just to make sure it is OK is advisable.

    Definitely just an unfortunate coincidence.

Be sure to pull the mains plug and be careful with the edges of the dishwasher door, Zanussi are not as bad as Whirpool/Smeg etc but there are still some sharp egdes around.
