    We have just got one for free and we are wondering if anyone has a manual or knows where we can download one?

    Or even just knows how the machine works including the salt stuff as I don’t want to start and ruin it

    Hi

    As you are probably aware Hygena was one of the brand names of the MFI group which went into administration last year.

    AW services have a lot of MFI group spares, they may be able to help.

    I never knew that. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

    Is there any thing I should be watching out for though, to safeguard my machine?

    Hi Nick

    Not good if you were an employee or a creditor. Then there is the knock on effect of outside manufacturers and suppliers of MFI who will have noticed a downturn in their turnover.

    If the salt resevoir is empty you will need some dishwasher salt and remember to check the filters under the bottom basket on a regular basis.

    A good thing to remember is a dishwasher is not a waste disposal unit so scrape off large food deposits on crockery before loading into dishwasher 😉

    Where would the salt reservoir be? Also what do I do if it needs refilling?

    Sorry, but I’ve never had a dishwasher before

    Hi Nick

    Salt resevoir can be found underneath the bottom basket, unscrew large round cap and follow instructions on dishwasher salt packet.

    Sorry to be such a pain, but what sort of salt do I need?

    I presume not the usual stuff.

    Also how often should I check it?

    There is a hole on the inside (Left hand side) that has a set of numbers 1 to 5 with an arrow pointing at 2 – Is this normal, what is it, should I touch it?

    Can you post up a picture of the interior please? We can then point you in the right direction.
