A relative has a MIELE CVA-620-1 which is faulty. I haven’t yet had a chance to get near it, but apparently when you turn the knob to programme you get a garbled display, with hieroglyphic type characters. Anybody seen this fault and could suggest where to start taking measurements? missing supply voltage? bad display driver or control IC?

You’re guess is as good as mine Ben and, most likely, most others on here too.
The only people that will be able to tell you are Miele and, they won’t.
