    MORNING ALL.
    HAVE A PROBLEM ON HOTPOINT TDC30 CONDENSOR DRYER.AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE APPLIANCE GOES COMPLETLY DEAD.IF THE DOOR IS OPENED THE FILTER LIGHT COMES ON AS NORMAL.AFTER THE APPLIANCE HAS COOLED DOWN (APPROX 10 MINUTES)IT WILL RESTART AND RUN FOR A FEW MINUTES.HAVE CHECKED ALL THE OBVIOUS.CONNECTION BLOCKS,CUT OUT STATS ETC.,RELAY.LOOKING AT THE TIMER?YOUR IDEAS MUCH APPRECIATED! ❓

    Hi Pinky,

    I had exactly the same fault on one of these driers a while ago, it was the relay that was causing it. Popped a new relay on and it’s been no trouble since.

    when i was at hotpoint we were told to change the start relays if this happens as the contacts are known to stick.

    Hi Pinky,
    Take the serial number with you when you order – there are two relays (Well there would be, wouldn’dnt there – this “2nd time” Hotpoint after all).
