    one for the experts i think ??

    only thing that works is display pcb , will let you select prog but when you press start button > displays shows stop and then open , seems as thought app thinks its done prog ,,

    it will let you clear prog by holding start button for 5 secs , but same thing happens when you try diff prog …

    no fault codes coming up

    door locks and de-locks … nothing else seems to operate

    any help appreiciated

    I don’t know, and I very seldom see a Siemens, but this sounds like a sort of protection mechanism (electronic).
    Presumably something in machine is damaged and electronics, on sensing that, are shutting down to avoid damage. I’d pull it apart and meter & megger individual components until something shows up. If nothing shows up then you may be looking at the board(s). 😥

    a had one sort of same but told her to get bosch owt . a phoned her back ti see wat it was , part of door lock connector block was melted. worth a look, dont quote me on that. ur door locks fine suppose.

    Have a look at the brushes. You get similar symptoms on hotpoint wmas and wds where you can select the program, the door locks but the door lock led does not light and nothing else happens. The last one I saw had a busted TOC on the motor.
