    Hi there,
Our Bosch WAE2416S washing machine (self heating), is exactly 3 years old.
We’ve recently started noticing that the washing is freezing cold when it comes out. Does this mean it hasn’t been washed in hot water? Or has it been rinsed in cold water?
Embarassingly I don’t remember what it was like before, but I have definitely had machines in the past where the clothes come out warm at least.
Can anyone tell me if I’m just being stupid… or if we have a problem!
    thanks

Hi, i have a Bosch and it rinses with cold water.
Bearing in mind how cold it has been in the uk the water coming through your pipes is going to be very cold.

Easy way to check is to do a maintenance wash at the highest temp ie 90/95
with no clothes but just a scoop of biological powder.
Can do this of course with lower temp settings but not as easy to tell at the lower temps…….

30mins or so into the cycle the door glass should be pretty hot.
If it isnt then you need to check out the heating element further.

    Hi

After 3 or 4 rinces with cold water the washing will be cold, this is normal.

    Hi,

I have a 16 year old Bosch, just done a 60oC wash and after 4 cold high level rinses the washing is freezing. The main wash was hot so the heater is working.

    Oliver.

Thanks everyone. Seems i’ve just been too quick to presume it’s broken (everything else in our place seems to be!)
I’ll do the test, but sounds like it’s probably fine.
    cheers
