Just replaced a the element on my NEFF U1721 after the previous one blew big style taking the fuse with it.
Since then I have noticed that the oven seems to get very hot – the temperature light does not go out even after oven has been on for an hour.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

    Re: NEFF U1721 Overheating?

Oven thermostat will have failed in the closed position, so the the temperature is not cycling.

Post up the rest of the model number and we should be able to find you a part number.

    Main oven thermostat is HERE.

Fitting is an oven out job. From memory you’ll need to get the facia off to access a couple of screws for the switch end, then you’re chasing the capillary down into the oven box. Fiddly, not difficult.

    Power off first, obviously.

How do you get the original capilliary out of the U1721? It seems to be fixed in place with some sort of rivet.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Power OFF…..Oven out, back off and the stat phial (“capillary”) slides out of the back!
